Hold on to your hats folks and no matter how much you want to stop and pass judgment read through to the end. Is this a hate/intimidation group or a group to strengthen Hinkley?
Since I see it brought up repeatedly what is the relevance of where a person was born and raised? I was told that this was a group interested in improving Hinkley? All I’ve read so far is people who have no business casting stones doing just that. I’ve lived and operated a business here with my wife for nearly 7 years. I’ve done my best to mind my business and help where I could but this thinly veiled hate is too much.
In the time I’ve lived here my only problems have come from so called “innocent locals” and out of control tourists. The tweeker that presented himself to my family as an honest local looking for work tried to run my family off my land through threats to my then infant child. Did a single one of you try to warn us? Of course you didn’t in fact you chose to stay quiet and when I mentioned the turmoil he caused, some of you tried to argue I was wrong for reporting his behavior as “he’s just a lost member of the community”. He killed someone within 12 months of leaving my property.
I’ve never found a farmer trespassing on my property in the middle of the night but speed freaks or as yall keep colloquially putting it “community members”? Oh I’ve run more than one “community member” out of here trying to come up in the night. The rules for this group say slander isn’t okay and everything needs to have evidencial backing. Well the piper has come calling. Let’s see ya’lls evidence. To be clear trespassing is a crime that increases greatly in risk/penalties when the resident is home, the police are too far for us to be reliant on to defend our land. If you call them about a dangerous trespasser(speaking from experience) they will instruct you to defend yourself if necessary but to stayout of sight if possible. Some of Y’all running around on private property looking for trouble and then complaining when you find it.
The number one thing that Hinkley needs is new money being injected into the economy. These people are doing just that whether directly or indirectly and somehow y’all have a problem with it. I would like to know what the actual problem is? If they’re shooting at you give me some proof as the rules of this group require? I’m a documentary photographer with a full inventory of still, video, and audio recording equipment if the proof is out their i can document it, let me, help you. I’ve approached these places myself with zero incident so what am I missing?
To clarify a few points here 98% of you people are stand your ground folks I am as well. When I was 9 I caught rock salt in my leg and buttox for creeping around(innocently, I was admittedly lost) in a corn field in PA no one accused the farmer of wrong doing in fact it went the other way. It’s too easy to turn your phone on and record when you’ve got guns being fired at you. Who wouldn’t do that? I did it when I was in Iraq. I know I did it when the tourists were shooting at me on my own property here 2.5 years ago, long before the farmers showed up.
We can’t take my kids to community events because yall welcome tweakers, pedophiles, and all manner of pervert so long as they fit your narrative of so called “recovered” Christian conservative. Can someone please tell me how do these things make #asaferhinkley? To be clear you do not strengthen a community by making it a welcome place “safeplace” for the hundred people who were born here. The hundred locals need to be welcoming and helpful while offering a safe nurturing environment for young families and their children with room for economic growth.
When yall come on here and slander your new neighbors simply because you’re unclear about how your community is changing, you make those who have been contributing to your steady growth contemplate whether it is the right place for their families(hint: families can be interchanged with investments in this dialogue). A community that sees a new industry attempt to improve their property values with minimal impact to the environment, while simultaneously providing them a route to a new money making capability(yall can grow to, I tried but unfortunately I’m not that kind of farmer)but ops instead to attack said industry is not a community, its a tax evading hate group. Especially when y’all choose to attack each other in the process like rats on a sinking ship. I’ve lived in communities all across the country and this one is by far the most disturbing especially with regard to religiously oppressive views and hate. Prove me wrong Hinkley.
Some have claimed this is a water issue, I’ll patiently wait, please show me objective data that supports this narrative as per the groups rules. If growing fertilized crops significantly poisons the water table how is PG&E using fertilized alfalfa to clean the water via a court order?
A final point i will address is some in the community have alluded to moral or “religious” reasons for their actions. I’ll simply say this Mathew 7:1-3 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Kick me out if you must, I said what I said. I fought for your right to say what you wanna say but could you please try not to be offensive through ignorance? It hurts the community.
